  • Protection of privacy

    We value your privacy to a maximum extent. This section explains how we collect, protect and use private information you provide us with.

    Collection of information

    For the success of the Forum, we need to collect private information, also known as personal identifiable information (hereinafter referred to as PII), of yours, but we limit such collection to the minimum extent possible. If you have any additional questions or queries, please don't hesitate to contact the Secretariat via these ways.

    We collect PII under the three circumstances below.

    Email subscription

    The following types of PII will be collected when you sign up for our email newsletters.

    1. First and Last names
    2. Email address
    3. Title

    Abstract submission

    While abstracts are submitted to us for presentation at the Forum, we require the following PII of the authors.

    1. Names of the author(s)
    2. Affiliations of the author(s)
    3. Email of the corresponding author
    4. Public IP of the device from which the abstract is submitted.

    Registration

    If you would like to register for events of the Forum, we will collect the following PII of each of the participants.

    1. Name and title of the participant(s)
    2. Affiliation of the participant(s)
    3. Email of the participant(s)
    4. Nationality of the participant(s)
    5. Public IP of the device on which the registration is completed

    Protection of information

    All the information we collected are stored in our dedicated databases hosted by the International Joint Research Center of Water Science and Engineering. The databases are strictly encrypted. All the information we collect will be stored for a maximum of three consecutive years and will be removed permanently after that. No party other than authorised personnels of the Sponsors and Co-hosts of the Forum will have access to the information we collect.

    Use of information

    The PII we collect will be used for the sole purpose of organising the Forum as follows:

    1. PII we collect through email subscription will be used strictly only for distribution of our newsletters.
    2. If your abstract is accepted, Item 1, 2 and 3 of PII we collect through abstract submission will be publicly disclosed when the abstract is published under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. Item 4 will not be disclosed publicly under any circumstance. All information from rejected abstracts will not be shared with any party other than authorised personnels of the Sponsors and Co-hosts of the Forum under any circumstance.
    3. For PII collected through registration, Item 1 and 2 will be made public on the badge of yours when you take part in the events of the Forum in person. Item 3, 4 and 5 will not be shared with any party other than authorised personnels of the Sponsors and Co-hosts of the Forum under any circumstance.

    We understand that by taking part in the events of the Forum, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policies and agree to its terms.

    You are able to revoke such consent under any circumstance without any reason. Please contact the Secretariat via these ways if you wish to do so.

  • Use of Cookies

    Cookies are small bits of information about your browsing activity that we store on your device. These bits of information allow us to provide you with better experience while you use our website. We only use strictly necessary Cookies on our website. These cookies are used to store your preferences (for example, remembering the message you have chosen to hide), and create strictly necessary caches that could be used when you are offline.

    On our abstract submission page, we will be using additional cookies to facilitate your submission. These cookies would be essential for ssucessfully submitting your work. Since The International Joint Research Center of Water Science and Engineering is generously hosting dynamic forms for us, these Cookies are from their website.

    We don't use any Cookies for the purpose of tracking or advertising.
